Elizabeth Audrey Cohen was born January 5, 2011 at 5:12pm, weighing 7lbs. 14oz. and measuring 20 inches long. We can hardly believe that Elise is already three weeks old. We are thrilled and delighted to welcome her into our family.
She has also met her Aunt Samantha (thanks for stopping by on your way to the airport!) and looks forward to meeting her future Aunt Jessie, and her Uncles Paul, Michael, and Scot, as well as her cousin Katelyn. We look forward to Elise meeting all of her extended family members in the near future!
Brian is already introducing Elise to new songs and games that captivate her attention. . .
Vanessa is learning from Elise how to be a mom. . .
According to Elise’s pediatrician, she is a “rock star.” She certainly knows how to scream like one! So far she has not hesitated to let us know when she’s got something on her mind. . .
. . . and we look forward to getting to know her more every day and to sharing our observations and photos with friends and family who are interested in a chronicle of her early days. Some of you have asked about our registry. It can be found at www.buybuybaby.com under Vanessa or Brian Cohen.
We love the pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Awww, this is so sweet! Go Elise! I look forward to keeping up with you as you blog about yourself and your parents' efforts to understand you and take care of you.
ReplyDeleteI do have one complaint. Your birth announcement was mailed to me as card. Snail mail, as we say. This is a respectable medium for delivering important messages such as this, to be sure. However. Your blog address was printed on the card. I had to type it by hand into my browser to access this blog via the World Wide Web. Somehow, copying a blog address off a mailed birth announcement seems gauche . . .at least, an inconsistency of form. To remedy this, from now on, I request that all blog entries also be mailed to me as a hard-copies consistent with the original announcement. It's the only way.
Dear Elise,
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to meet you! We babies born with a full head of dark hair have to stick together and share beauty secrets. I'm just a little bit older than you, so I can tell you what's coming next. Here are a few things to look forward to: staying awake for more than 20 minutes, staying asleep for more than 20 minutes, and getting your whole fist in your mouth. Also shiny things. Shiny things are awesome. I have a blog, too, so have your people email my people if you want to see it. I'm going to make my Mama and Daddy read your blog all the time!
My whole family is so happy that you have arrived and hope we can come to NYC or SLC sometime soon!
Love,
Zora Violet Roberts
PS--Don't worry about Uncle Elrond (above). He's cantankerous but a good one overall.
